Larkspur boasts a quick commute to San Francisco, excellent moderate weather, top schools, a picture perfect downtown, and a true mix of neighborhoods. Technically part of Larkspur is a subdivision named Greenbrae which feels geographically removed from the rest of town and is served by the Kentfield schools. The rest of Larkspur is adjacent to Corte Madera and together the two are nicknamed the "Twin Cities".
The Lark Theater has been renovated and shows a mixture of recent films and "Live from the Met" events. The town library is housed in the traditional City Hall building in the heart of town. Though the town has gotten pricier over the past decade, it maintains its old time feel.
